What does a bookkeeper do?

A bookkeeper records and organizes your daily financial transactions, reconciles your accounts, and produces monthly financial statements so you know where your business stands.

What's the difference between a bookkeeper and a CPA?

A bookkeeper maintains your day-to-day records and monthly financials. A CPA is licensed to prepare and file taxes, perform audits, and give tax advice. OB Bookkeeping is a bookkeeping service, not a CPA firm. We prepare accurate, CPA-ready books so your tax professional can file quickly and correctly.

Do you prepare taxes?

No. OB Bookkeeping does not prepare or file tax returns and does not provide tax advice. We prepare reconciled, CPA-ready financial statements for your tax preparer.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. OB Bookkeeping operates fully remotely from Aventura, Florida and serves small businesses nationwide. Documents are exchanged through a secure portal and financials are delivered on a fixed monthly schedule.

What software do you use?

OB Bookkeeping works in QuickBooks Online. We also integrate with point-of-sale systems including Toast, Square, and Clover.

How much does bookkeeping cost?

Fixed monthly plans start at $350 per month, based on transaction volume and number of accounts. There is no hourly billing and no surprise invoices. Clean-up work for back books is quoted separately as a one-time project.
